GRAND PRIX OF THE BIRD AND NATURE FESTIVAL – € 4.000
This prize will be awarded to the production most faithful to the Festival’s subject 'The Bird in its Natural Environment' or to film which deals with nature more generally.

Awarded to Laurent JOFFRION - France For Abyssinie, l’appel du loup

WILDLIFE PRIZE- € 2.000
This prize will be awarded to the production which will be focused on environmental problems of the Planet.

Awarded to François de RIBEROLLES – France For Le peuple des volcans - Le temple des Phénix

CONSERVATION PRIZE - € 2.000
This prize will be awarded to the production which deals with wildlife: birds, mammals, marine fauna, fauna and flora more generally.

Awarded to Harun RAHMAN – Malaysia For On borrowed time

ENVIRONMENT PRIZE - € 2.000
This prize will be awarded to the production best illustrating the protection, preservation or conservation of the animal species (first birds, then mammals, fish ...) or more generally illustrating the preservation of nature.

Awarded to Max MÖNCH & Friedemann HOTTENBACHER – Germany For Fluch der Meere

AMATEUR PRIZE - € 2.000
This prize will be awarded to the best production, by an amateur.

Awarded to David VAESSEN – Belgium For Bref, on a classé les animaux

PUBLIC PRIZE - € 1.500
This prize will be awarded to the production which has totalized the more votes from the audience during the competition.

The Abbeville Bird and Nature Festival 2013 runs from 20-28th of April.

Showing Chimpanzees by Alaistair Fothergill & Mark Linfield - French primatologist, Emmanuelle Grundmann will discuss the film afterwards.

They'll also première Like a butterfly, the incredible life of a wallcreeper by Frank Neveu with a foreword by Lars Jonsson.

Download the list of selected films. Good luck to Jungle Book Bear and Wild Scandinavia: Sweden from Oliver Goetzl of member Gulo Film Productions! The Jury will see the films during the Festival and winners will be revealed on Saturday, 27th at the Awards' Night.

As for other events (the Festival offers many activities, not only screenings), they'lll have the 1st "Rencontres de la Photo Nature" sponsored by Vincent Munier, the most famous French wildlife photographer: there will be over 2000 sqm of photo exhibits as well as photo equipment from Friday 26th to Sunday, 28th in Abbeville right next to the Theatre where the screenings will take place.

And indeed, over 400 offers to discover the area of the Bay of Somme with nature guides, one of them is even available in English: The title of that walk is the French Swamp!
